The Best Homemade Facial Cleanser

homemade facial cleanser

Choosing the right facial cleanser can be tough. There are so many options, and some are better than others. And let’s not forget the prices! I understand sometimes you get what you pay for, but I am all about spending less and saving money. My money was being wasted on products that may have done more damage than good. So, I started looking into natural ingredients that could help properly cleanse and nourish by face without drying it out and realized I was better off making my own homemade facial cleanser. I began scrolling through Pinterest for HOURS, very dangerous btw, researching ingredients like Vitamin C, castile soap, shea butter, manuka, etc. All are great for the skin and helps keep the face moisturized and protected.

What Are the Ingredients in this homemade facial cleanser?

Castile soap is a gentle cleanser free from toxins. It helps remove dirt and makeup without stripping your skin. Regular use of castile soap can help protect against skin cell degeneration and minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

Distilled water is better than tap water because it is free from impurities, reduces clogged pores, and helps keep our skins pH levels balanced.

Manuka honey is a natural humectant, which helps draw in and retain moisture. This type of honey can decrease inflammation and redness as well as promote a smoother complexion.

Jojoba oil contains vitamin E which is a strong antioxidant that can reduce inflammation and speed up cell regeneration in the skin. The great thing about this oil is that it can control oil production and preventing bacterial growth from leading to breakouts. Vitamin B complex is also found in jojoba oil and that fights off free radical that cause acne.

Here are the steps

1: Add water to the soap dispenser first to prevent bubbles.

2: Add the liquid castile soap

3: Add the honey and oil.

4: Shake the dispenser until the honey is dissolved.

Store this cleanser in a dark place to last longer. It should last a few weeks. I recommend shaking the soap dispenser every few days in between uses to keep everything mixed together.

Reasons why I love this homemade facial cleanser

I love this this homemade facial because it is 100% natural, and the products are safe to use on my face. Always do your research on ingredients and do a test on a small area on your skin to see if there is a reaction. This is a great combination of ingredients for my face.

The castile soap removes the dirt deep within my pores and doesn’t dry out face. It also has vitamins A and E which keeps the skin free of fine lines and wrinkles.

Jojoba oil is one of my favorite oils and my skin loves it. It provides long lasting hydration and is full of antioxidants and nutrients. Jojoba oil is known for boosting the skins glow.

Manuka honey is something that I came across about a year ago. I used to use regular store-bought honey until a post on Pinterest told me I wasn’t living right if I wasn’t using manuka honey. I was intrigued. It not only adds moisture, but it retains it and locks it all in. I noticed a change in my face after a week of using this product.
