Located in the heart of Dallas, Texas, Side Car Social is a restaurant and bar that offers a trendy and inviting atmosphere perfect for socializing with friends and family. Its unique concept of shared plates encourages guests to explore new dishes and enjoy a great dining experience. The restaurant is located in Addison, Texas at The Village on The Parkway. One Saturday, my husband and I decided to be spontaneous and just be outside and explore. We met up with a couple of our family members and all voted to go to Side Car. We heard great things about it and wanted to see what the buzz was about.
The moment I stepped inside, I was impressed with its stylish decor of modern and vintage elements. The brick walls, rustic wood accents, and chic lighting fixtures created a warm and cozy ambiance that sets the tone for a great time. The large bar area featured a selection of signature cocktails, beer, and wine. It is definitely a popular spot for happy hour or a night out with friends. It was definitely a vibe.

Great Prices

The restaurant’s menu items were reasonably priced, and I see why it’s a popular choice for an affordable night out. The emphasis on shared plates allows guests to try a variety of dishes without having to spend a lot of money. There are daily specials that provide excellent value for money so you can enjoy delicious food and drinks for the low.
Tasty Flavors
The menu is another standout feature featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I love the idea of shared plates because you can taste a range of flavors and textures. Must-try menu items include the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Mac and cheese, Nashville Hot Chicken, The Blackened Shrimp Po’ Boy, and The BBQ Chicken Flatbread. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with a range of vegetarian and gluten-free options. My meal was the Nashville Hot Chicken. The sauce was not too spicy, and the chicken was fried to perfection!
Drink Specials
The drink specials are just as impressive as the food menu. We learned that the bar often features daily drink specials. Their social hour is from 11 am- 6pm Monday through Friday.The drink in the picture below is called The Ocean Water Tower. It’s very refreshing and can be split with the entire table. It features Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum, peach schnapps, blue Curacao, sour, lemonade, and lime. Did I mention they have the best bartenders? They are so knowledgeable and skilled and are able to craft a custom drink that matches your preferences.

From karaoke to game night, there’s always something exciting happening at the restaurant. I really love the spacious patio area. It’s the perfect popular spot for weekend brunch. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun dining experience in Dallas. With its welcoming atmosphere, creative menu, and lively events, it’s no wonder why it has become a local favorite. Whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or a full meal, Side Car Social is sure to leave a lasting impression. I will be adding this to my list of great food places in Dallas.
