Players Coalition

My journey with Players Coalition is one of those full-circle moments that I’m incredibly proud of. It’s a true testament to what can happen when you take a chance on yourself. In February 2024, I had the amazing opportunity to attend Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. While I was there, I made it a point to network, connect, and learn from people who were already doing the work I dreamed of being a part of. During one of the Super Bowl week networking events, I was introduced to the Creative Director of Players Coalition. It is an organization founded by Anquan Bolden that informs people on social justice and community impact.

In that moment, I knew I had to shoot my shot. I shared my passion for content creation, and my goal of building a career in sports media. I talked about my experience in social media management, graphic design, and storytelling, and how I wanted to bring those skills into the sports world in an impactful way. It was one of those conversations where everything just clicked and it planted a seed.

A few weeks after Super Bowl weekend, I got a call that would change everything: Players Coalition wanted to bring me on to help create graphics for their social media platforms. It was a surreal moment that came directly from taking the leap and trusting my preparation.

From there, I was able to collaborate with their team and design content that aligned with their mission. Every piece of content I created was rooted in the Coalition’s message: using the power of sports to create real, lasting impact in underserved communities. My work with Players Coalition is a project I’m deeply proud of, and it continues to motivate me.
